  1. hi, i am an architecture college student from the philippines. (i am studying at UP-Diliman. =D)

i guess it depends upon the university you would want to apply to. here in our country, all we need to do is pass the college entrance examination and be admitted on the college offering the course we want.

if you want to prepare yourself for the course, take up ANY high school subject which will hone (or at least introduce you) your TECHNICAL DRAWING SKILLS (drafting and stuff). knowing how to produce architectural plans will surely make your college life easier.

also, love your math (calculus!) and physics subjects. they will really be of much help in college. architecture is a course combining the expertise of engineering and the creativity of artists--- you need to have both of your left and right brain working. =D

and yes, a knowledge of basic woodworking, carpentry, electricity, plumbing and anything related to buildings will help you too.

Godbless. this world can use some more great architects. =j
