Question:

Arcs and patches on my transition lenses. Any idea why?

Hi, I have just gotten myself a pair of transition lenses. It changes really dark when it comes under strong sun. When this happens, I can see arcs and patches that are darker than the overall area on the lens. Is this supposed to happen? However, when the lenses are moderately dark, I do not see these arcs or patches. Is there anything wrong with my transition lenses?

  1. The optician did not apply the coating evenly.

Take them back where you got them and gripe.

They are supposed to be coated evenly, that's what you paid for, and that's what you have a right to expect.
