Arctic Community and Global Warming.?

I want to hear other people's opinions on this:

What selfish reasons can you give for wanting the arctic community to continue functioning the way it has been?

Is drilling for oil worth the risk of contributing to polar bear extinction?

What is more valuable, maintaing your lifestyle or the artic community?

Please tell me what you think and your views on the issue of global warming and the effects it has on polar bears and the arctic? Please add points that you have. Right now I am not that educated on the issue and I have formed a slight opinion but I would like to hear pros and cons from other people to help educate myself. Thanks!

  1. The artic is not affected by GW . Gore's movie is a lie. The ice pictures are computer generated. The poor polar bare pictures was also a fake. The polar bare is one of the worst animals in the world . The Kodiak grizzly bare is very similar. The green house gas is not there....

  2. I don't know how exactly drilling for oil will harm the " Arctic community ".

How many bears do we really have to drill through to get more oil??

  3. Regarding Polar Bear extinction and oil drilling......they hardly effect each other in any way.  ANWR (Arctic National Wildlife Refuge) as an example is lager than some of the states in the lower 48 states, but the area chosen for drilling is smaller than many counties in most states.  In fact, there are some U.S. farms or ranches that are considerably bigger.  In addion, the area is not known at all for having any population of polar bears, or for that matter, bears of any kind.  It is predominately a waterfowl nesting area and a caribou habitat.  The first drilling on the North Slope and the eventual pipeline there have proven beyond all doubt that the impact on wildlife in and around the area was very minimal.  We learned alot from that experience.  We'll do an even better job with this one!  Some of the organizations who are screaming the loudest over this are those who sell a LOT of memberships in their group, or solicit millions of dollars in donations from those of us they can get most emotionally upset and involved.  Don't believe everything they tell you without considering how much they may benefit from our falling for their false-facts.

  4. The Arctic community is not so much the big problem.  It's an early warning sign of global warming that will severely impact YOU (economically), if we do nothing.  If that happens, your lifestyle is toast.  Details here:
