Arctic Robbery? Canada & Russians now begin to rape the Arctic?

Diamonds, Oil, Natural Gas, are now being fleeced from the last bastion of the earths wilderness, The Arctic", Greedy Canadians and of course Russians are laying crazy claims to large swaths of native Inuit Territory, pollution and rape of the eco-system we know nearly nothing about. White Man has created more than enough Industrial black holes on our planet already, is there no end to their greed, how can we put a stop to it?

Why are you only blaming this on Canadians and Russians..America has been drilling for oil there for years and now our government wants to drill in the Arctics National Wildlife Refuge.  I agree this is insanity and greedy..but America is just as guilty as some other countries.

That a pretty biase question. Since your stating all Canadians / Russains are greedy. A country survives today in their economy. Where there is money, any goverment will be, if they own it. Yes I agree there is a problem with that, but in all honestly, there are very little ways to put a stop to it. If there were alteratives to oil/ natural gas that would be econmicaly sound for a country they would try it. So until there are some perfect ideas that don't change the econmy but save the oil/natural gas then goverment doesn't care.  Humans are using up thier natural resources at an unremarkable rate, and until they actually due, we will not learn. Goverements today are not thinking of tomorrow and are borrowing from their grand children in the future.

You might consider whether am cynical, nevertheless I consider myself optimistic and pragmatic.

Technology is an unnatural addition to the world, and has resulted in grievous imbalances - human populations have exploded to levels likely impossible to balance (medicinal technologies as well as technologies in human sustenance).

Hence, suggestions are taking things in stride for our own internal balance and health. Keep fighting and exposing those who commit crimes such as these, but be practical enough to realize that the 'snowball' is so large that it cannot be stopped. At best it can only be slowed here and there.

So, with the old adage, 'Lord, help me to change the things I can, to accept the things I cannot, and grant me the wisdom to know the difference.' It may seem cliche, but never before has the adage rung so highly needed.

Keep up the good monitoring work, keep informing us, but please do not drive yourself into the ground. The world is not so rich as that...
