Ardkill Sweep to take charge of the Legally Blonde Stakes
Competing for the £100 prize money of the Grade A1 Legally Blonde Stakes are, Petal, Ardkill Sweep, All For David, Ballybrazil Jag, Fanora Mac and Cronody Leo. The 420 metres flat race will be hosted by Peterborough
on Wednesday, 28th November. Taking off from the first stall will be, Petal, while breaking into speed from the very last trap will be, Cronody Leo.
Sharper than any other hound in the field is the second trap, Ardkill Sweep. The G. Spillane trained has been racing since three seasons now and has accumulated experience at multiple race courses and over
varying distances.
Ardkill Jamie’s son has been trying to make an impact ever since the last four outings, two of them were at Grade A2 while the equivalent reminder was at Grade A1.
The three-year-old ended third in the Grade A2 420 metres flat race on 13th October, 2012 at Peterborough. Bumping after breaking from the third trap in the field had him compromising with success
that came to Kilbreedy Way, who made it to the other end of the wire in 25.61 seconds.
The dark hound then gave a shot to the Grade A2 Heartfelt Stakes on 31st October, 2012 at Peterborough over 420 metres. The most favoured candidate in the line-up raced in the blue jacket of the
second trap and led on from the fourth position. He concluded the race in 26.30 seconds set Seathwaite Clip as the runner-up due to the margin of two lengths.
The three-year-old out of, Miss Accelerator, then won the Grade A1 Pensioners Stakes on 16th November, 2012 at Peterborough over 420 metres. He once again sped out from the second trap and was impossible
to contain as he set into a leading role and completed the trip in 25.83 seconds.
He kept the runner-up, Planeeh Again, adrift by 3 ¾ lengths.
His attempt at the next Grade A1 contest on 24th November, 2012 at Peterborough ended in a second position as Jazz Apple Blue won the race in 26.11 seconds.
Ardkill Sweep has once again drawn the same trap, and knows just the trick to land the race when racing from it.
