Ardmayle Driver to take advantage of his attuned form in the Stadium Bookmakers 480 metres Trophy – Final
The Stadium Bookmakers 480 metres Trophy – Final has brought together a strong line-up with majority either with a place or victory in their most recent outing. The race will be hosted by Nottingham over 480 metres flat on Monday, 30th July.
The £400 race will be contested by Ardmayle Driver, Bower William, Swift Frogma, Chicago Prince, Bowtime Regan and Mottos Blue.
The most credible entry for the race is the two-year-old black hound, Ardmayle Driver. He has raced only thrice during the new season and took off with racing in 2011. He has never raced just once at Nottingham and is familiar with the distance that he has to race over today.
The two-year-old has tried his luck at Oxford, Swindon, Hove, Belle Vue and Coventry. His favourite track turned out to be Belle Vue as Westmead Driver’s son celebrated most of his successes at that very race track.
His very first hat-trick of the career took form at Belle Vue over 470 metres.
The black hound won the Keith Swain Manchester Puppy Cup 1st Semi-Final on 24th November, 2011 at Belle Vue over 470 metres. He ran on after leaving the fourth gate and concluded the race in 28.14 seconds. He won by the margin of ¾ of a length and set Roker Liam as the runner-up.
The two-year-old out of, Westmead Oak, has raced very lightly ever since the new season began. The P. Rosney trained has been trained seven times after entering the new season. He got drilled at Belle Vue, Shawfield and Monmore.
Ardmayle Driver won the first two races of the season which were intervened by two training sessions.
His Nottingham track debut was on 23rd July, 2012 in the Stadium Bookmakers 480 metres Trophy – Heat 2 over 480 metres. The favourite entry of the race, Mottos Blue, broke into an early pace and did not compromise on the lead after that. The blue hound concluded the race in 28.86 seconds while he led by four lengths.
Ardmayle Driver took the runner-up’s slot after racing for 29.18 seconds.
The exposure to the track and the distance along with the intensive training sessions has boosted the chances of the two-year-old who is backed by 7 to 2 odds.
