Are 0800 numbers free for mobiles?

  1. Not in the UK, if you dial any of the 08 numbers on a mobile you'll be charged according to your service provider's tariff.


  2. no there normally chargable. i dont think there too expensive though! ur best ringing off a landline! guarenteed freebie numbers!!!

  3. just landlines, mobiles make you ditch the first 0 and just dial 800 before you ring that number

  4. no they are not and you have to drop the first 0 for them to work on mobiles  

  5. No fairly certain they are not free on any network. Go to www.saynoto0780.com and type in any 0800/0870/0845 etc and it lists the landline equivallent.  

  6. It depends on the network but most now don't include 0800 numbers in their 'free' allowance. The exception to this is if you call a registered charity, most networks now include these. The saynoto0870 is a very good option advised by POC215

  7. It is only for landlines i'm afraid. You will get charged standard call rate for calls to 0800 numbers. Sorry.
