Are 110cc pit bikes any good?

i have just bought a 110cc pit bike i am only 16 and bought it so i could get used to changing gears for when i get a car or a 125cc road bike when im 17. was getting this pitbike a good idea?and are they any good?

the chinese pit bikes are the equivalent of a bic lighter- use it up, then throw it away. 2 years ago a couple of my friends and i got pit bikes- they bought chinda, i bought honda- now, 2 years later, the chindas are falling apart,one has only 2 gears left, and no parts are available. the metal is so cheap, even welding wont hold up. the honda is as good as new, never breaks, and will likely be running 10 years from now. if your intention was a disposable bike just to learn on ,it will do fine. dont expect any resale value.
