  1. At best if you crack open the case (which you probably will not get to seal up again) you will need to replace all the individual cells.

    So it is better to get a new one, first try using a eraser to clean off the contacts on the drill and batt.


  2. According to my brother-in-law, who owns several Craftsman tools that are powered by the 19.2 V batteries, you can't repair them.  If they stop working you have to replace them.

  3. NO!!

    No battery is repairable.  You can be seriously hurt.  Recycle them and get new batteries.

    Some batteries can be maintained, but NONE are repairable.

  4. Just get new ones from http://needbattery.com they have great prices and a great warranty.

  5. yes they are, but I strongly caution against it. if you get it wrong it could explode.

    Better to buy new batteries.
