  1. i would take the trade, you'll get alot of miles out of the lexus.

and the cherokee is not reliable im already guessing. if its reliable, don't keep it anyway, you will have many problems with ur jeep

  2. Personally I would have 2nd Thoughts bec something smells fishy so if you truly wanted to proceed with deal, then may I suggest you have a mechanic or better yet a reputable garage run all the comprehensive tests on the engine and transmission bec for a luxury car the replacement parts will be very expensive as well as the Iabor to repair.

Secondly would depend on how long you have owned your Jeep Cherokee Laredo and say how much repairs have cost you in the past 2 years?

FYI we owned a 1993 Toyota Camry LE from brand new and I spent a lot buying genuine Toyota parts on discount from Texas Toyota dealers as well as the labor to have our mechanic keep it in good condition and when my wife and her sisters all decided they needed SUVs, and we bought 2005 Toyota Highlander 6 cylinder All Wheel Drive, later the Camry which had 211,000 miles when little expensive things like the power windows and then distributor starting popping up too often and going bad bec it sat idle only being driven a few times a week, well it gave me no choice but to give it away as older cars must be driven on a regular basis and if too many little things start going wrong, then it's more headache than it's worth so in my opinion if you lack savings or priorities for a new vehicle etc, then the better alternative would be to stay with something reliable for peace of mind bec haviing to open your wallet on a recurring basis is only the signal or someone saying time to let go and go separate ways as automotive maintenance and repair can be a big $$ headache...
