Are 2 10'' jls with a 2400 watt amp better than 2 12'' sony explodes with an 800 watt sony explode amp?

so i had 2 10'' jls with a 400 kenwood watt amp, something went wrong with the amp so i bought a 800 watt sony explode amp and had the 2 10'' jls. my boyfriend went out and bout 2 12'' sony explodes. they wouldnt fit in his trunk so i gave him my jls- which were ariganaly his(he has a 2400 watt amp-not sure wut brand) well tha 2 12'' sonys fit in mine an i have the same brand amp. they pound an so does his ****. i noe everyone thinks that jls are better but with tha same brand amp and subbs an den 12''subs against 10'' subs....which are better? (dunt get me wrong they both are madd bumpin but outa curiosity...should i have not done dat trade)

Yes the JLs will have a cleaner sound and i would go with them

Trust me, use the JL's, they have much better sound quality, and will hit harder. Sony Xplodes are ok, but nothing compared to JL's. Even the 2 inch difference, JL's are better, but if your nice, you will give them to your Boyfriend, but get them back just in case you guys split.

Yes, you get way better sound quality from the 2 12's then the 2 10's!!!

first of all sony xplode sucks bad! they sound like c**p and  they overheat and don't last long at all, stick with the JL audio, its one of the best companies on the market today, look for a JL audio amp to go with your sub, they are bulletproff, once you hook them up and take good care of them and you will never have to replace them

I wouldn't have done the trade.  It might be best for practical purposes but the JL's are worth more and sound better.  Not sure what enclosures you have all these subs in, but if you have a trained ear beyond just going around booming ... you should be able to tell the JL's are quite a bit better then the Sony's.
