Are 5.8 ghz cordless phones secure from being accidently picke up on scanners?

To be exact, here is a link to the model I have:

http://www.uniden.com/products/productdetail.cfm?product=EXAI5680

I think the phone is just analog (not digital spread spectrum).

  1. NOTHING is immune from scanners if the receiver has enough money to spend on the equipment.

    Today, there is little that will go to 5.8GHz available on the market, so YES, it is moderately secure.

    The phone is digital, so it is TECHNICALLY encrypted.

    Breaking the encryption is illegal without a court order.

    Remember that;

    1) never say anything on a telephone that you are not willing to defend in court.

    2) anything they do to protect can be broken with time and effort.
