  1. Do you think this new high quality stuff will be worth reading in 15 years??  I'll bet the ones by P Lynch will be.  He beat the market by 10% a year for 14 years.  I don't know of too many mutual fund managers that have come close to this.

    Good investing principals are timeless.

  2. Some books are timeless.  Those by Peter Lynch and Benjamin Graham for instance.  And some books based on Warren Buffett.  Beware of popular mass market books, especially written by unknown authors.

  3. The basis of investing and investments are still the same even after 15 years, if you are looking at investing in Stocks.  There are fundamentals which should be adhered to ....Buy low Sell High.  The process of analyzing a stock is also the same.  P/E ratio's verse Peers, Book Values verse Stock Price, Yields , etc.

  4. don't be fooled by the "latest and greatest" investing advice - most of it is pure nonsense.

for investing, age isn't terribly important.  heck, probably the most popular (and important) investing book available today was written by Benjamin Graham in the 1920s!  (It's called The Intelligent Investor, and it was written in 1928.  This guy basically invented Value investing.  If you need any proof of his skills, just know that he taught Warren Buffet everything he knows.)
