  1. i have never met a black person who was offended that someone called them black. its totally the white people reacting......do u get offended when someone calls you white?  its just a simple description calling someone black......or white.

  2. Think of it this way. We don't mind being called black. We just don't like it being our personal name. Would you like to be called a "white girl" all the time, when someone is talking about you? We would much rather prefer our given name. We don't care about it being a description, just not a title.

  3. depends on the context of how its used of course.

Example: "That black chick..." vs. "Hispanics, blacks, whites..."

but preferably, "african american" would be better...even saying "white" isn't the best word to use. I stick to "Caucasian."

  4. When I see an african Americans or black people; I don't call them black or African Americans because they are people like us.

I call their real name not black.

If I don't know him or her , I call them people.

If they ask me what race they are? I call them black.

If I see white people , I don't call them white. They are people.

I call them their real name not white.

If I don't know him or her , I call them people.

If they ask me what race they are? I call them white.

You all might think I am crazy but that how I think.

  5. overreacting

mostly all blacks like to be called that.

  6. i have seen this question before.

    white girls are nothing new.

  7. There are only a few words that BLACK people or bothered by and that isn't one of them.

  8. idk why they call people 'black' cos their not...

  9. No, but why is it called black because I am brown.

  10. well technically nobody's skin is white or black they are more along the lines of cream or brown. So I'm not offended when someone calls me Black. It's just that my skin isn't black, like white people's skin isn't white

  11. No why should i be even thoe my skin is brown and not black

  12. If somebody ask this question ONE more G**@ d**n Time.......!!!

  13. I think is more of a case of whites being a little too soft.....You people are the creaters of being PC at times its good but then a lot of the time its over done

black people dont care if you call them black as long as its not meant as an insult, not the younger generation anyway

  14. we dont give a d*mn

  15. no

  16. Whites over-reacting to what?  I call them blacks or African-Americans.  No problem that I'm aware of.  If I react to anything, I react to someone calling them something derogatory.  It says more in a negative way about the person saying it.
