Question:

Are Amazon.com Prices Real?

In some cases they just seem to good to be true. There is this thing i want with a retail value of $199.99, and Amazon.com had it for $34.99 and it was brand new. I just want to make sure that you get the item you ordered at the same quality that it is suppose to be in and if the prices are real. Can anyone answer these three questions for me?

  1. you don't say what the thing that you want is and if the seller is amazon or another company or an individual.  my experience with amazon.com has been excellent-everything that i have ever ordered (i did almost all of my christmas shopping on there) has been exactly what is pictured.  i have never ordered from a private seller, so i can't tell you anything about that.  i would make sure to compare the model number of the item you want from amazon with the retail item number you saw and if it is the same-go for it!  make sure to check the return policy for that particular item in case it is not what you thought.

also, their prices go up and down all the time, so don't wait too long to order it because you may find that it will increase in price in the same day (or decrease).  one tip i have learned from shopping on amazon is to save everything you want in your cart for later.  everytime you log in and check your shopping cart, if a price has increased or decreased they will have a note about it at the top of the page in red.    if you do this after you buy it and the price goes decreases within 30 days of the date you bought it you can call or email them and they will credit your account for the difference.
