Are Amazons Reviews Legit?

Question

I was reading somewhere to beware of Amazons reviews because alot was from a certain city. Hinting people were being paid to submit reviews. Can anyone confirm this. Are they ALL real reviews ?

I've put reviews at amazon.com so yeah, I believe they are real. Never got paid for 'em though darn it!

My room mate's boyfriend has written some reviews for Amazon.com. Many people write reviews for them. No one is paid for it. Some people write many reviews, and other people write only a few of them. I've looked at my friend's reviews and others for the same movies, and I see that each writer has his own opinion. It's not likely that Amazon pays anyone for reviews when so many people write them for no pay.

Any review is a "real" review.  It doesn't make them worth anything however.  Most reviewers are just frustrated writers.
