  1. Considering we live in a world of limited resources, are the only superpower remaining post cold-war, and are getting fatter every year I would reason that down is the only way to go. Of course, I have no idea of when or how long, nor would I be moved enough to make such a prediction

But what I do know is that, in deep time, everything changes

  2. Thoughts become things.  No one can predict what others will do, regardless how predictable they seem.  Whether America succeeds in becoming what was intended is up to every single one of us, doing what we can to see that it does.  Whether we're optimists or pessimists, both need to come to the middle, where realists accomplish what has to be accomplished.  It's not out of our hands.  Never will be.  Optimists and pessimists living in America will follow their beliefs, bringing us down or defiantly raising us beyond the reach of those intent on going down.  It's up to us.

We might be led to believe only those who hold office and run corporations are the ones who have the power, when power is in our votes and our determination.

  3. Who knows- IMHO the human race has reached its peak and is at a not so steady decline. Time to wake up!

  4. Yes it happens to all major civilizations. It also seems to be following  the route of going down with all guns blazing. Instead of adapting to the situation and realising that its days as a world power are waning. it seems that most Civs fight the inevitable
