  1. Not at all

If you asked me that question 25 years ago, you would have been correct.     Today with all the microbreweries all over the US, we make some of the best beers in the world.

Forget Miller and Bud.    Talk about Pete's Wicked Ale, Saranac IPA, Dogfish Ale, Sam Adams, Anchorsteam....etc

  2. False.

The mass-produced beers, like Bud, Coors, and Miller, are of very poor quality, but there are hundreds of micro-breweries around the United States that of made of the finest ingredients. They make many more styles than just pale American lagers and pale American light lagers, and use fewer cheap adjunct grains like rice and corn.

Here's a link to the results of the 2008 World Beer Cup. It should give you an idea of how some American beers compare to those made in Europe and around the world.

  3. Not necessarily. There are good beers and bad beers in every beer brewing country. Just like there are good people and bad people.

  4. First poster is correct. All the micro brewers/craft brewers around in the states make awesome beers with deep flavor. If you refer to mass produced junk, then yes.

  5. Everyone else pretty much hit it on the nose.

There are terrible euro beers too - ever try a heineken?  Simply dreadful

  6. Depends on the beer.  Try a Sam Adams and then let us know...

  7. The mass produce and/or "cheap" American beers are not good.

However, there are now a ton of great beers made in the USA!

There are local micro brews and also many various "regional" beers some of which have made there way into the rest of the country.

Samuel Adams, Fat Tire, Red Hook, Beach Bum Ale, Karl Strause, FIre Engine Red Ale just to name a few!

  8. yes they are.euro brands are simply better in any way
