I prefer this calculation for the NPV of our national debt. While a strong argument could be made to support your higher figure, it is difficult to validate the 80K figure.

SS & medikare.

All promises R pae-as-yu-go.  Projekt spending out 20 or 30 yeers & thats a lotta do.

My thoughts:

The word "owe" may be an arguable term to describe each citizen's share of this money that we borrowed from ourselves.  In my completely unprofessional opinion, it begs the question, "Are Americans born already owning a certain share of the treasury or U.S. assets?"
