  1. Americans are definately more outgoing.

  2. Outgoing and very loud.

  3. They have always been an anal-retentive lot.

  4. ...............................YES

  5. i think its about the same but i think the brits are more outgoing on the nightlife side than americans

  6. No.

This is a misconception which the Yanks themselves seem bent on promoting, for some strange reason.

In my own, admittedly personal experience, the Yanks are often more ostentatious than Brits. But that is not the same as outgoing. It's almost as if they try to compensate for a lack of self-confidence by projecting this aura of loudness about themselves. They sometimes seem compelled to give it large in an effort to hide the fact that sometimes they presumably feel small.

When a Yank isn't playing to an audience he (and especially she) is usually a very different, more reserved, elegant and much more pleasant individual.

    Strange, but true.

  7. Yes, I think they are on the whole.

  8. I think that's the stereotype, that Brits are quiet and reserved and Americans are rowdy and loud and obnoxious.  I used to think that was true.  But in my experience with the actual people I've met, I'd say it wasn't true.  Maybe it was once but not in my experience.

  9. ummm yea, brits are more persurved, and americans are wild, just lok at the opening ceromony at the olympics and i met a couple too very conservitive...until they get to know u

  10. On t.v., of course it's stereotyped that the British are snotty and only care for tea and horses rather than each other. But in real life, I've met some pretty wild British folks. I don't think culture or location has anything to do with whether a person is outgoing..I think it depends on the person. But t.v. incorrectly stereotypes a lot of different countries and groups. =]

  11. Of course you can't judge the whole based on a part but yes,i think americans are more outgoing

  12. Well I'm American, and yes we are very outgoing but that's not a bad thing. And all Americans aren't loud. Stuuupid stereotypes. Everyone is different, not matter what country!!

  13. I think Americans  are more Gregarious than the English. They are more at liberty with themselves and have a sense of self knowledge .The English have a way of enjoying their selves but in a more defensive way !

  14. I think Americans are more full of themselves. British are a bit more short tempered I think.

It depends what kind of a person you are.

Who eats more fast food? Americans or Brits? We see loads of eating contests in America.

  15. Well I've been to America twice and both times i would always be the first to introduce myself to new people!

  16. No, I wouldn't say so. I guess generally Americans think Brits are snooty and conservative and Brits think Americans are loud and full of themselves. Lol. But I don't think either are true, you get different types of people where ever you go. :)
