  1. The President indiscriminately carpet bombed them in the nineties, and the President indiscriminately carpet bombed them at the "cough" *start* of the invasion and occupation of Iraq, NOT war.

  2. Who would be proud of any mistake?

The example you cited is hardly a reason to condemn America. The part I love is: "Iraqi officials said."  Guess that makes it Gospel. Errors happen in war, it's the nature of the beast. That's why it's called "h**l."

  3. No Americans are proud of civilian causualies.  It is greatly unfortunate, but casualties always happen in a war zone.  There have been thousands upon thousands in the 1000 years of war that innocent lives have been in jeapardy.  But it is more unfortunate when mass media projects it in the most horrific way, even though everybody understands lives will be at loss.  Like when Soviets invaded Chechnya against Chechnyan rebels 15 years ago, hundreds of civilians lives were lost at one time within the rebels, no one cared.  But when Americans accidently shoot a few civilians in admists of a fire fight between insurgents, the whole world calls us bad guys!

And the President gave a few months of warning to Iraq that we were to be invading their country to topple Saddam's regime.  Even though the mass civilians have fled, there were still some that were astrayed and killed in our strafed bombings.  War is war, and war is not meant to be pretty.  If I had it my way, war should be fought by the very two ***-holes that started it in the first place, unfortunately this is reality, and there will be causualties.

  4. No but they are in the middle of a war zone and innocent people will die.  I hope you understand that.

  5. Of course nobody is proud of that.  I am proud to say that the Coalition just handed over the security responsibilities of the 11th province (Anbar) to the Iraqi Security Forces.  Of course that's good news so you most likely won't see it on the alphabet networks.

  6. Well, I wasn't there so it wasn't my mistake.  I can't really feel much of anything about it.

  7. Oh yes just wait for it - it is America's right to massacre as many Afghans and Iraqis as they like in the struggle to bring freedom to the very same people.

  8. I don't see why any American would be proud of any mistake like that - if it is indeed a real event.  We are also proud that Americans like you have the right to express your view, as biased and immature as it may be.  It's certainly your right.

  9. has you know the iraqis fire on the boats first because the boat were running without lights the boots had the americans in them question are you proud of your propaganda service to aikida

  10. If there was an "exchange of fire" then weren't they defending themselves?

  11. Get help. If you did serve and got an honorable discharge, go to your nearest VA hospital.

  12. well first off who is at fault?  If we are fired at first then its not our fault so called innocent bystanders were in the crossfire. But I am sensing the above question is not about who is at fault but American bashing . So if you are a american feel free to bash those that are fighting an dieing in your name they earned that freedom for you. And if your not American WHAT YOU THINK DONT MATTER!

  13. No, I am not. And we shouldn't even be there to begin with. I'm more concerned about my OWN goddamn country than someone elses, unless they really had something to do with 9-11 like Afghanistan.

  14. Exchange of fire means they were in the middle of a firefight, with bullets coming at them. Now when you're trying to kill an enemy and avoid bullets, and you have to  seperate civilians from combatants who aren't wearing uniforms to distinguish themself as the enemy,  i don't care what you think about the war, even you should understand that mistakes are going to happen.

And there are plenty of sites where you can complain about the war in Iraq.

  15. No matter how one feels about the war in Iraq, or any war for that matter, no American should be proud when innocent civilians are mistakenly killed.

  16. Should have read the article since the Iraqi's opened fire on the boat of Americans and the Americans returned fire.  It is believed to have been an operation to raid a house on the island and the Iraqi's seeing a boat without lights thought they were insurgents so opened fire first.  Proud of the incident Not Really since it shows a lack of communication but as the tour guide pointed out to the Northerner visiting Lookout Mountain-the reason for no monuments to the Southern units their is because they are not allowed but you could say those monuments to the Northern dead there are a monument to Southern accuracy; we were more accurate then they were.

  17. they shouldnt have been in the way, and civilian casualties are part of war get over it. and why would we be proud of it? despite it being an accident
