  1. Rumor has it:  Fried Chicken Festival in Chicago - BYOB

  2. I am willing to pay as much as $10 per gallon for gasoline at some point in the future. I expect to eventually pay that much, and my present budget allows for it.

Five bucks is chicken feed. Bring it on.

  3. What word? There was a blip in prices with Katrina a few years ago, but things came back on line pretty quickly. Why would it be any different this time?

  4. d**n. as soon as a get my license. this.isn't.fairrrrr. grr...

well it sucks more for the people living on the gulf.

  5. Not all of us are as well off as "uncle tonto"  we're not getting raises to cover the cost of living ... working for less hurts ... but those who have don't seem to care about those who don't... Ain't that America?

  6. No, we were not ready for $4.00 per Gallon Gas.

  7. Wow! Uncle Tonto.. if $5 bucks a gallon is chicken feed to you then how about you stopping by and filling up my car and truck for me sometime.. we're at $3.59 a gallon right now.. sounds like chicken "scratch" to me.. lol

If gas gets up to $5 a gallon.. im getting me a mountain bike or getting a  moped!! Hubby wants a motorcycle to ride to save gas.. I'd have to be  knocked out cold to get on one.. I prefer 4 wheels, not just 2..lol

  8. My thoughts .........

Congress doesn't need the entire month of August off  & should be in Washington working on an energy bill that not only expands the drilling inside the United States, including Alaska and the Midwest but also embraces all the fuel options on the table hydrogen , wind , solar etc..

If Congress would stop soap boxing and making speeches to make opposing parties look bad like the old stand by ----- that it will take 10-15 years to get results .......we would already have results.

Supposedly Congress has been aware of this crisis since 1973

    1) Nixon issued the first stockpile of oil in 1973

    2) Congress lowered the national speed limit to 55 in 1973

    During the first oil crisis

That seems a lot longer than 10 years ago to me........even when dealing with Washington time. It is time Congress got off their butts and answered to the voters instead of just giving us empty promises and rhetoric

  9. Could you explain why you feel using some of the oil reserve will result in higher prices and limits on supply? This makes no sense whatsoever. I am opposed to doing that, but your statement is very strange.

  10. Winter is coming on too and I"m dreading it!  Just pile on the quilts

and stay inside awhile, the car won't go without gas and the furnace

won't work without fuel, I'll just try to see how long I can hybernate!
