  1. Anti-Slavery meant people might have either been only against specific types of slavery  or against it but did not want to get rid of it entirely. It might also just mean the people were opposed to it. Abolitionist means to dismantle all facets of the structure including the prejudice, racism or whatever which allows it to continue. To outlaw slavery everywhere as being against Human Rights.


  2. Abolitionists were against alcohol.

  3. Yes.  Abolitionists were all over the free United States hiding blacks who had run away from slavery and fighting to end it.
