Have anyone ever found any cave paintings that depicted apes or monkeys?

  1. Probably the earliest primates clearly depicted in art were Egyptian baboons, on walls of hieroglyphs, as early as 5,000 years ago!

    And the art was all about the animals the people hunted.

  5. Although not a cave painting, this Nazca petroglyph has been interpreted by some as a monkey. This assumption, however is hotly contested.

  6. mostly 4 legged animals that prehistoric hunter-gatherers hunt, like bull and deer.  As far as i know (which isn't much), primates haven't been depicted on any wall paintings in caves
