  1. You don't need all that....just buy a good internet security and your set.

  2. yes .but you also need hijackthis for safe messieurs

  3. No, because viruses could still get in, even with a lot of protection. Linux doesn't get viruses

  4. I've heard good things about Avast!, and Ad-aware does a good enough job if you know your way around the program.

I have, however, had some very annoying experiences with ZoneAlarm - Let's just say it makes your computer so secure that it severely impairs your ability to use it.

  5. I'd agree that what you have is pretty safe but recommend one more to download and have on your pc

  6. All you really need is an anti-virus program and a firewall.

Dont download from suspicious sites and always patch/update all of the programs you are running especially Internet Explorer.

  7. Totally agree with Sepharium. ZoneAlarm is not really neccesary. The Windows Firewall does a pretty decent job at keeping out hackers. On top of that Avast also has a intrusion detection system.

The free version of Zonealarm is a little obstrusive, but it does have more features than Microsofts firewall. For most users its not really needed, but your mileage will vary.
