  1. It's not that it's such a horrible thing, it's just that you could be getting more nutrients into your body for the same amount of calories.

I suppose it's better than wolfing down 540 calories of lard at a sitting, but probably not as good 540 calories of balanced nutrition.

  2. You DO realize that the lettuce on a Big Mac isn't enough to count as the RDA for a gnat, don't you?  And how much do you REALLY think that one slice of tomato counts as?

Yeah, if you eat them every day, or even every week, you're going to put on weight, and you're going to clog your arteries.  You don't want to treat something like that, or all fast food, for that matter, as more than a treat.  A once in a while thing.

  3. NO! they are not bad for you. i eat them all day and im only 690 pounds (jk)

  4. they arent good for you but one on occasion isnt going to harm you

  5. Watch the movie 'Super-size Me" & see if that answers your question.

  6. its so bad for u it has that many calories but it is very very bad 4 u

  7. Yes..might has well eat a bucket of lard and get it over with.

  8. If you eat health whole food, yes they're bad for you.

Surprisingly they are not as bad as you might think.  Chicken fajitas in most sit down restaurants equal 3-4 Quarter Pounders with cheese.  Check out the link.

  9. Not if you eat only one at a time.

  10. Well, they cannot be real good for you!

  11. of course, but once in a while is fine

  12. You are right in that the lettuce and tomato are definitely healthy for you. But what makes Big Macs bad is the fat. The meat and the condiments (mayonnaise or anything like that that you put in it) are very high in fat. Also, the bun is white and therefore very high calorie without any sort of vitamins or anything in it (it's basically calories and air; nothing good to it).

This doesn't mean you should give up Big Macs, it just means that you shouldn't eat them all the time. I would say once in a while (meaning maybe once a month or so at most) would be okay, but frequently eating them will definitely give you more calories and fat than you need and could hurt you. So just be aware and careful!

  13. are you serious, the letuce has no nutritional value and the saturated fat is terrible. it is not as bad for you as a double quarter pounder with cheese but it is not good for you in any way.

  14. Big Macs are great, but not great for you, but its ok to eat it once in a while, just not on a daily basis, not on a weekly basis either.

  15. i think eating it in moderation would be fine i dont know why people r so obsessed with the calories thing try working out rather than starving urself.

  16. big macs don't have tomatoes

  17. YES.  BigMacs are THAT bad for you.  They have no nutritional value.  Try cooking for yourself.  You may find you enjoy it and have a hidden talent!

  18. So great to eat! Not good for our health.  Treat yourself to one a month, walk 1/2 hr that day or the next day. I adore a whopper with cheese and xtra pickles! Treat yourself 2 times a month!  It makes life worth living..HAHAHAHA!

  19. yes. a single big mac gives me an extra chin. ask the people to make it without the sauce. it tastes better, and its less fatty.

  20. I hate to say it because it is good, but most fast food is bad for you. The only thing that isn't is a salad.

  21. Dose a bear p**p in the woods??  Of course the are bad for you!

  22. Mac's don't have tomato in them...they have two pieces of 10:1 meat, i slice or reg cheese, 4oz of mac sauce, lettuce & two pickles...Their bad for you if you eat them every day...but if you treat yourself to one once in a while and keep up with regular exercise then they can't really do any damage...Fast food in general is best keep as a VERY RARE outting...you can make the same burger at home, but with alot less fat...

  23. The Big Mac weighs 7.5 ounces - almost half a pound, and it contains 540 calories.  The recommended daily calorie intake for an average person is about 2000.

A little less than half the calories come from fat, and provide 45% of the recommended daily value of fat consumption.   So almost half the amount of fat one should consume in a day, to maintain health.

It has 45% of the daily recommendation of SALT.

Beyond that, the Big Mac is low in fiber, has a decent amount of protein, and actually has about 25% of the recommended amount of iron and calcium.

Though it has 9 grams of sugar (likely the high fructose corn syrup in both the bun and the "special sauce."

So, yeah, it is bad for you if you eat them all the time.

  24. Yes!

  25. Who cares, they taste so good.

  26. yeah, but as long as you dont eat them too much ur alright.

have you seen supersize me?...lol thats about how bad it is, but i love mcds and big macs, so theyd be hard to give up......lol
