More like puppies than goats. Cattle?? ... what are you talking about .. they're nothing like cattle... but I have heard they like ruminating on front porches with their owner's especially on hot summer afternoons.

Yes they are ruminants and more closely related to cattle. They belong to the family Bovida and subfamily bovinae.

Plains bison are ruminants, as are cattle and goats.  They are indeed closely related to wild cattle.
