  1. well depends the brand....my Sony one gives u the option....it actually looks better in 16:9...if your TV set is able to play it like that


  2. The native resolution of Blurays are 16:9.  That's because the source video is 1080p (1920x1080 is the same as 16:9).

    DVDs can either be 4:3 or 16:9.
