good try but your guess of Mexico as one of the best soccer teams in Latin America I would say is WRONG..

There is not doubt that Argentina and Brasil are the best teams for multiple world cups wins, but before you think of Mexico I think there is Uruguay who has 2 world cups under their belt and Mexico none.

Mexico is a GOOD team but not close to be known as "best". And to be fair I think Mexico can be compare with Paraguay, Colombia and Ecuador who are latin american  teams who have made it to different world cups and much superior than Venezuela, Bolivia and all central american teams like El Salvador, Honduras.. etc

actually you're almost correct, but i'd say that you have to consider that some latin countries have raised their level of play to the point where they can compete head to head with the big teams of Latin America. so in a sense we are seeing an increase in the level of play in our region of the globe which is good because it only makes for better matches.where as before the level was so unbalanced that the matches were almost predictable.  but if i had to decide i'd say

1.Brazil

2. Argentina

3.U.S

4.Mexico

and so forth. the reason why i put Mexico in fourth place is due to the fact that the U.S has had a rise in their level of play where as Mexico hasn't really changed much and their dominance over the U.S appears to be diminishing. but i do hold that Mexico has beaten the top two in more times than the U.S has been able to win their matches against the top 2, especially Brazil.

What!? I can't believe you even ask! Brazil and Mexico are not only the best soccer teams in Latin America, they are, as far as I'm concerned (and anyone else in their right mind) the best on Earth!
