The attorney general and legal advisor (A WOMAN) states that from now onwards for any job a woman would be given preference even if the the competitor is a man with more merits.

This was telecast on BBC recently.

This means that not just white men but all the male gender come under this act.

How does an advcanced and civillized western society justify such acts when they garuntee equlity to all regardless of gender etc?

Does this mean forced unemployment for the male gender and victory of gender politics over merit and equality???

  1. No, it's an absolutely crazy idea.  This sort of thing can only be detrimental to women in the long run.

  2. NO it's a load of rubbish. Just because on freak MP believes this rubbsioh doesn't represent everyone else. The government is a complete farce when it comes to school, political correctness such as banning christmas etc, prisons, giving benefit to everyone who can't be arsed to work.

  3. You gotta be kidding?

Really, i did a double take.

Even if the man is better suited, they'll give it to the first woman who asks for it?

This can't be good for businesses.

Or for men in the U.K who want jobs.

    Jesus.

  4. That sounds totally asinine, and wrong. The job should go to the most qualified, no matter the gender.

  5. Will feminists fight this?  After all, they say they're for men's rights just as much as women's rights.

  6. it is there form of affirmative action.

  7. You should get your facts right the new law is not just aimed at women but also at ethnic minority candidates it will allow employers to take under-representation into account when deciding between TWO EQUALLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES, and so allow workforces to better reflect society.  So your suggestion that merit is not the first priority is totally wrong.

The CBI, TUC and Equality and Human Rights Commission support positive action. Recognised business benefits of a diverse workforce include attracting new business, understanding customers' needs, and filling skills gaps. This will be entirely permissive, rather than compulsory, and will help organisations such as police forces which want to increase the number of ethnic minority officers to better reflect the local community.

A new bill will make age discrimination illegal giving the same rights to those discriminated against because of their age as those because of their race or gender.

Lastly extra laws will be introduced to attempt to bring about equality of pay for women.  At present women are paid on average 12.7% less than men if they are employed full time and 40% less than men if they work part time.

Next time you watch the news you should listen to what is said and not what you think is said.
