Question:

Are Callaway Big Bertha Irons Big?

I've been thinking about trying out the Callaway Big Bertha irons, but my concern is that all of the clubs look like they are almost like hybrids. I know that the 3, 4, and 5 irons are like that but do the others have large backs to them too? And will it effect the swing and contact if I'm in the rough or deeper grass?

  1. i hit the 1994 big berthas (original) you can't go wrong there

  2. They are the perfect club if you are getting into golf and learning solid ball striking. They will help you improve and graduate to something more advanced.

  3. No they are too extreme.  One of my pals has them and they have a lot of perimeter weighting, and a wide sole.  They are supposed to be easier to hit from rough so give them a try.

  4. Umm... try a 7.. they're not too big but they work well in deeper grass and you get better aim in the shot
