Are Cara and Cole too similar to be brother and sister?

I LOVE both these names.... but are they too similar to be names of Brother and sister? I also love Ava and Evelyn (nn Evie) but they're too similar too?

They are nice names but it would be easier to pronounce it Cole and Cara. It rolls of the tongue better. Ava and Evelyn are beautiful and wow - I love Evie. Its different and reminds me of a Pokemon (in a good way!).

Not at all...I love those names, and they are perfect for a bro an sis. Plus when you need to holler for them to come eat dinner, it will roll of the tongue easy...Cara, Cole dinners done....yeah comes out easy!

I think they are pretty similar but lots of people do this so I don't see the problem.  If you like the names, there good names so why not?

I think Cara and Cole are two very cute names. They are quite similar but I think it's cute. If they were twins, Cara and Cole would be really cute. I dunno if they are just brother and sister. I like Evelynn and Ava also.

The problem with naming your kids the same letter is you've started a horrible "theme"...in the future, you might feel forced to name all your kids four letter C names, since that is what the others are. You should never restrict yourself like that, since there are so many wonderful names out there. Many people do that, name their kids the same letter, and find that they have to continue the trend or all will be lost. By not starting a theme in the first place, you can prevent that feeling.

What about Ava and Cole, since you love Ava too? Or Evelyn and Cole? That way their names won't seem so "matchy".

Too similar would be Cara and Carla, or Carla and Carl.

Ava and Evelyn is pushing it.  Those are very close.

I like strong names - of the ones you have suggested I like Cole for a boy and Evelyn for a girl.
