Are Caribbean islands tropical or subtropical or both?

A country like the Bahamas has the Tropic of Cancer running through some of its islands. Jamaica and Trinidad, as well as other islands have mountains; and this may cause colder climates- maybe temperate. Overall, are Caribbean islands more tropical, subtropical or both?

Caribbean islands are tropical with two major seasons: dry and raining.  Temperatures varies from 80-95 from May to October, and 65-85 from Nov. - April (aprox.)
