Are Carpenter and Liriano worth pick ups?

I have an open DL spot and it looks like Carpenter could be back in the next 30 days. Might be worth it to have him on my roster. I also have Liriano available on waivers. Another solid start last night. You would think he would get the call up soon. Only questions is, will he come back as a starter or relief pitcher?? Any help would be appreciated.

I'd go with Liriano - he has been unhittable in triple-A and may be brought up this weekend.

Carpenter yes but Liriano no i would rather have carpenter hes comming back very soon hes docotor said early august or middle august
