Hi I'm planning to do a birthday party for my son who will be 2 years old in the summer. Has any one had a party there? what was it like? Is it okay for the adults as well as the children?

  1. I sure wouldn;t pay it.

  2. I wouldn't pay it. I would find some coupons in the local paper or off the website. You get a large pizza, 40 tokens and 4 drinks for something like 22.00. I get a couple of these coupons and Bring my own cake, and balloons. Have the party in the evening when it's not so busy. and just go in and set up shop.

  3. I think that would be perfect for a child who is is atleast 4 or 5.  He/she could enjoy it too then, instead of just the guests.  2 is just too young.  Have a small party at the house.

  4. NO!  It's loud and even overwhelming to some youngsters.  I've seen little ones cry as the employees sing Happy Birthday.  It's difficult for friends and family to visit.

  5. There are better places to have a childs party, there is always a school fundraiser there and it isn't that great.

Build A Bear would be better pricing.

  6. well... the kids do love it, but as far as it being worth the price..it really isn't. the food is no better than any where else and is very exspensive. the games are fun for the kids, but then again...the tokens are costly and it takes prolly 20 tokens to cash in and buy a small tootsie roll. i would advise looking at something else.

  7. $18 per child?!?!?!?!?  They better gold-plate that pizza for that price.

  8. Chuck E Cheese is a great party place for an older child.  Your two year old is going to get ran down by the older kids trying to get to the games.

People get there and tell their children that any and all rules from home don't apply here.  It's is an absolute mess.

Also, know that they will keep nickel and diming you the entire time you are there.  The kids will blow through their tokens and you are stuck buying more.  It is extremely expensive, and you will leave having a headache and swearing off Chuck E Cheese for the rest of your life.

My suggestion is to look for a more toddler friendly place.

  9. Its a zoo in there onb a saturady  or sunday. At 2 half the kids are afraid of Chuck E.

I wouldn't waste the money yet. The noise, the crowding, yuck! its really npt fun unless you go really early. They have parties back to back and if yours is over at 2pm by 2:15 they have your stuff up and new stuff down.  We had a 3rd 4th and 5th b-day party there and then decided anything is easier. We only live 10 minutes away so lots of our friends go their too. I would wait if I was you.

  10. I would throw a small party at a park or something.  Chuck is too expensive and too crowded.

  11. NO.  The party is over before it starts.  The kids are always fashionable late.  Have a party at home.  you'll save money and it will be over when YOU want it to.

  12. it's cheaper to take your own cake and balloons and just order their high pizza.buy your own tokens.Sometimes the employees come out in the animal suits to the table even if the party isn't being paid for.

  13. A 2 year old is a little young to be spending that kind of money on a birthday party that he wont even remember.  Yes, the parties are fun (for the kids but not the adults really), but I would wait until he was turning 4 to do it there.  At least then he may remember it for a while.
