Are Cops Allowed To Provoke Peolple?

If a police officer is interrogating you they are allowed to use any measure they can, within the law, to get you to tell them the truth.  They are definitely allowed to provoke people as people normally tend to answer and say things when mad that they would not dare let themselves admit to when not angry and in control of their emotions.  Provocation is just another way to get a persons guard down to get them to tell what happened.

They aren't supposed to but they do it because they can get away with it. Very rarely will they be caught and lose their job for doing that. Same things goes for anyone who provokes another person. They do it because they either have connections or because they're bullies. Fear also keeps them in the winner's circle.

I wish cops needed a lot more education than they do now. I'd feel much safer if we had smart cops, not the idiots we have now. Most are a disgrace, but we can't do a thing because we don't "know" them or how to stop them.

The answer is NO, but it happens all the time. It's so easy to provoke someone. You dont have to "challenge" someone to provoke them. Just talk to them in a condescending tone of voice. Smile when they're being serious. Even wink at a loud mouth and he'll come charging at you and everyone will say you were just standing there. Most of the time, it's wrong to provoke, but everyone has to admit, some people just need an *** kicking to learn a lesson.

Don't know, what is a "peolple?"  But I'm sure cops get bored and have nothing better to do than endanger their life extra times by provoking people they don't know.

You get your good cops with the bad. Alot of "a******s" tend to become cops and assert themselves under the false pretense of a shiny badge and a smart uniform.

A decent cop will rarely intimidate or provoke anyone, but rather try to level with someone. Which is the complete opposite to anything you might see on "cops"
