Are Crittertail tubes able to connect to the habitrail safari/plaground?

Well Firstly Im wanting to get two more dwarfs.(if i can talk my mom into it.) I have a second cage already because i bought my hamster a new one to add onto this old one but I just let him have one.

So anyways I have a habitrail safari for he two if i get them and I was wondering if i could connect critter trail tubes onto them because the habitrail safari/playground line has basically been stopped.

If they can connect which addons should i get for my hammies?

  1. yes you can i had the same cage and yes you can connect them together.

  2. Great idea to go in for another two dwarfs.

    Some options -

I was thinking you already have a safari and playground for one dwarf. I think the safari should be enough for one dwarf, so you can use the playground for the new set of 2 dwarfs.

Safaris are stopped but instead a new line called Habitrail Minis have been launched.

Playgrounds are still in production and not stopped yet.

You can still pick up safari online (if you are keen on one) from online stock clearance -

All crittertrail attachments can be fitted to habitrail cages and you can buy either pack. However dwarfs are not major fans of vertical tubing (from my experience), even the hyperactive ones tend to fall down if the tubes are too long. What I did was to give them a horizontal arrangement (yeah, it occupies more space in my room but anything for my hamsters:)) and they are much more interested in the tunnels since they don't need to climb.

So, you dwarfs can climb "into" bubble tubes but climbing "up" bubble tubes is a no until they are very hyperactive ones.

  3. think so

  4. First off, yes, CT tubes can connect to Habitrail as well as S.A.M. brand. They are all interchangeable :)

Secondly, if you are planning to attach cages for 2 dwarfs, this isn't the best idea. They can become territorial over cages so it's usually better to just get one large 20 gallon tank or a big bin.

I have dwarfs and all of them can climb the bubble tubes alright, even my Roborovski.

As far as which expansion pack? It depends if you want more tubes or would rather have less tubes and an extra wheel and potty.
