Are DVD cases recyclable?

I have a bunch of extras since I put them all into a case. I just wanted to get rid of them via recycling if I could. Just wondering the scoop.

  1. I would personally put them on freecycle or craigslist.  Someone else might want them!  And you would still be getting rid of them .  Just an idea!

  2. yes

  3. You can also try your local library, they always need new CD cases because they break, they may want DVD cases also.  CD cases make cool picture frames too, very modern.

  4. They are recycleable.  If they are the brittle kind, with the clear front, like CD jewel cases, they are probably polystyrene (PS) and should be recycled with other PS items.  If they are the more flexible, opaque kind, like movie DVD cases, they are probably polypropylene (PP) and should be recycled with other PP items.  Note that some of the PP cases have a clear film that appears to be of polyester/mylar bonded to them, which might prevent recycling.

  5. Hi there...I am not sure if you are a crafty person or not, but I use these cases to make mini scrapbook/photo albums.....

  6. They are recycle able. Like plastic, boxes, grocery bags and other packaging, Glass, Steel, Aluminum Cans and Foil, Aseptic Packaging, Paper, Newspapers, Phone books, Rechargeable Batteries, Old refrigerators, Heat Pumps & Air Conditioners, Motor Oil, Tires and Car Batteries, Computers, and many other things.Recycling in my opinion is a great thing. It helps the environment.
