Are Democrats willing to right now commit to giving their candidate the credit and blame for what happens next

Things may go well in the next Presidential term, or they may go south. My question is, will the Democrats accept responsibility for how things go no matter what, or will they only take credit if things go well?

  1. Several of my Liberal friends have already told me that no one can blame the next President (assuming he is a Democrat) if he can't get things right because no one can clean up the mess Bush has created.  When I ask them why we should elect Democrats if they can't do any better, my friends stand silent.  Talk about Liberal hypocrisy!!  They are cutting and running and abdicating resposibility before they can even get their man elected.

  2. Absolutely.  Any candidate who wins must prove themselves in the job once they are in office.

  3. they always take credit if things go well and blame others when they go bad it's the democrat way.

look at the voting records then listen to the rhetoric they only say what they think wants to be heard by people.

perfect example is Dem's think that their "icons" are out to s***w the rich and help the poor, all the while ignoring the FACT that the richest members of the government are Dem's.

  4. In other words, the Republicans are already laying the ground work to blame President Obama for the Bush Depression?

That has been tried before, when the GOP tried to blame FDR for the Hoover Depression.

The Bush crowd is leaving the country in such a bas state that whoever is next President will have a very tough time.
