Are Dental Hygienists Really Needed?

My Hygienist charges £65. Do we really need these people?

nooooooo....why have your teeth in place?! what's the use in that? i mean, i wore braces for a couple of years, and would have teeth like frankenstein if i hadn't. my best friend kept his teeth even though he had a very bad problem with his gums and teeth almost fell out, but didn't thanks to a good dentist. since then, he goes there once a month, and his teeth are as white as ivory. but what's the point? they'll fall out anyways, right?! stupid question - like asking if you needed to exercise to be in top shape?!

if you want to keep your teeth healthy, than yes. they do stuff we cant do at home.. like xrays, gum exams, stuff like that to make sure we are not letting out teeth rot away. you should try to look for someone else if that is too pricy for you.

But if you're liking the treatment that you have then why ask such question?

Well, yeah if what we are talking about is having a healthy teeth yes indeed we need them. There are some things that we cannot perform to our teeth that only the dental hygienist has the privilege to perform by using their respective instruments and their knowledge about it. They study about their job and learn everything so that they can perform well. their skills is way beyond our skills that's why we also pay high to them. If we badly need them that's the time we ask for their help with of course the proper payment since they render a service to our teeth.
