Are Destin beaches lovely?

How would you rate Destin Florida beaches? Are they clean? White sands? Calm-ish waters? Few rocks? No sudden drops? Minimal rip currents? What are your experiences?

Um well I live in Panama City Beach which is like 30-40 minutes away, and the beaches here are pretty nice. Really, really fine white sand, nice blue-green clear water. No rocks, not very many little fish or anything. It's pretty calm most of the time, but they have flags to warn you about the rip-currents. There haven't been very many lately, maybe 1 every 2 or 3 weeks.

  the beaches along the Florida Gulf from Panama City to Destin to Pensacola are the most beautiful white sand you will ever see.

The Emerald color waters give the coast it nickname "Emerald Coast",the water is relitively calm,however with offshore storms there are some pretty nasty rip currents..But as for the rips happening dailey they are not bad.

Been going to the gulf coast since 1963 from Panama City to Pensacola,and lived there in the 70's.

Also vacation on the coast 2 or 3 times a year.
