Are Doctors Able to Check if Your Cherry's Been Popped?

Question

Me and my bf were talking about virginity, he says that doctors can check for a hymen and I say that that is pointless because they can be torn during sports or bike riding and there isn't a for sure 100% way to check if a girl is a virgin or not.

He says that he knows for sure that doctors checking for virginity is real because his sister has had it done before (I say that it was probably just to see if it was forced entry).

So I say doctor's can't check for virginity, he says they can.

Who's right?

Just because your hymen is broken or missing doesn't mean you're not a virgin.  Nobody's going to look for that on you, nobody cares.  His sisters obviously were assaulted, that's a bit different.

They can check to see if you are a virgin, but like you said your hymen could be stretched, or ripped doing other vigorious activities such as dance, bike riding, horse riding, or just plain old rough housing lol.

If you just had s*x. Then went to the doctor he/she would be able to tell as the hymen would have been newly torn... On the other hand if you had torn your hymen 2 months ago and went to the doctor then all he can say is yes it's torn but from what he would not know.

They can check if your hymen has been broken, but like you said. A hymen can be torn doing other stuff, and is definitely not a clear indicator of a girl's virginity. You are definitely right!

you are right, it can be torn during sports and other things.  but i am sure that a doctor could check and see if someone forced entry into you.  things like certain marks. maybe he is a bit confused with the difference.

but no a torn hymen is not a clear indicator of s*x or masturbation.

Although they are able to check to see of your hymen has been ripped nothing is 100% It is quite possible that it could have been ripped  in sports.

Yes they can check if it has been broken... The other activities can (but rarely) break it, due to the location of the hymen...

yes but it can be popped from sports injuries amongst other things not related to s*x. on the bright side if it that big a deal hymens can be reconstructed. so your both right!

Doctors can confirm if the hymen is intact - if it is then the lady is a virgin (unless she has had some VERY expensive repair work done).   If the hymen is broken then the lady needs an alternative explanation, and yes - there are indeed some.

They can check by the way your hymen is torn.  Unless it wasn't torn at all.  My cousin lost her virginity and got pregnant and her hymen didn't get torn until her first check up with the doctor.

i dont think drs care  as it is not important. ive never known a UK   female to be examined for hymen perforation ever in my lifetime? I could be wrong but ,its news to me, unless (horribly) a girl is raped but there are other clues ie male dna /signs of bruising etc....

I often wondered that.

I think they cant tell. They can tell if its been broken or not but not how. I have played alot of sports, had nasty falls which have caused bleeding (not major but drops) which I have been told often happens.

I am curious to find out too. But I dont think they can see if you are a virgin or not
