I know they have the same sensitivity as First Response, but are they accurate (like 83% or more) 3 days before your missed period?

  1. Yes they are. Mine was done 5 days before and showed a faint line, but it took about 6 or 7 minutes to show up. And that is the same tests they use at the clinic, because I asked them when I seen the test. They buy it from the same companies.

  2. i doubt it. Dollar Tree sells HPT's??

  3. Im sure they're fine but keep in most of the products they sell are old.

  4. $ tree is where I got my pregnancy test they are very accurate. They are also the test that the pregnancy crisis centers use.

  5. I got a positive test on a Dollar Tree test 3 days before my missed period, so I would have to say yes they can be.  Good luck!

  6. A big fat yes for me!

Mine proved positive  before my period was due.

  7. That test is as good as any other test as long as the expiration date is still current and your did the test correctly. I took mine 10 days before my missed period because of my medications and it was accurate.

I was trying for years to get pregnant and couldn't. I started medication to help and the doctor said it wouldn't work for a few months but I still had to test myself every month before I started taking the meds because if I did get pregnant the meds could harm the baby. Anyway, I used Dollar Tree test since they were so cheap and was basically I figured they were all a waist since they should come out negative for a while anyway. Well, to my suprise the very first month I took one after starting the meds it came up positive. Needless to say, I wanted this to be true more than anything but figured there was no way due to my past and what the doctor said.

Well, I figured it had to be the test. So, though I did tell my husband I didn't tell anyone else. I spent the day calling the several doctors, pharmacy's, and hospitals to make sure I could trust this answer. I even called the 800# I found on or in the box and asked them. Everyone said the same thing, pretty much all the test are the same and just priced differently. They may look different but they do the same thing. If it is positive then you can be 99.97% sure your pregnant. However, if its negative then you should wait a few days and try it again.

My husband and I even went to Walmart and bought 3 more test of all different types and prices, including the most expensive one. They all turned out the same and I just waisted my money. I was pregnant. When I called the doctor they said to go ahead and tell my family because if a home test tells me I'm pregnant then I am. When I went to the doctor a few days later, though they did eventually do a blood test and sanogram, first they did a simple urine test the same as what I had done and when it said positive they said congradulations.

The pharmicist even said that even if his wife had went through what I did and wanted a baby so bad but was afraid the test was inaccurate, that if one test read positive he would tell his whole family because they are accurate.

I wanted to write all this to let you know that its not just my opinion and this was the info I got to support my answer.

I will tell you that you need to check the exp. date and make sure its still current and that you did it correctly. And when I asked all those sources if and what could give a false positive then what would it be? They told me basically ovarian tumors or severe issues in that area can give a false positive. I had multiple cyst on both my ovaries and was taking ovulation medication and it was still correct. Unless your answer was negative then trust it and call the doctor. If it was negative, wait and take it again in a few days. By the way, as I said, I had to test myself 10 days ahead of when my period should start so I could take my meds and it worked and was correct and I was only about 2 weeks pregnant.

I hope I helped. There are several places you can call for assistance and advice just like I did. But I hope this helps start you off. Good Luck.

  8. I did not care for any of the dollar store tests. I bought them to ease my mind so i wouldn't take the expensive ones when I got anxious to take one. lol.. So that was one good thing about them. good luck and baby dust to you..

  9. Yes! Mine popped up a big 'ole pregnant on a Dollar Tree test. They are very good tests and cheap.

  10. First Response is the best when it comes to wanting to know 5 days before your missed period and you get two in a box for $11 bucks
