Or is the eccentrically-coiffed American tycoon tampering with local people's lives?

It's timely that you ask, since Trump has today revealed full plans for what he calls “the greatest golf course in the world” -  to be built on a stretch of Scottish coastline. As well as a golf course, there will be a new village, including shops, pubs and cafes. And some residents are far from happy, with several locals opposed to Trump's plans - including Hollywood actress Tilda Swinton, who has compared the scheme to the Highland Clearances, when locals were forced out of their homes in the 18th and 19th century. Trump has applied for a compulsory purchase order to buy land from tenants who do not wish to sell.
