I think that drugs is a problem all about not only in men prison,it is a problem in the women prison as well,it may not be a severe but........................................

Isn't drugs the reason  why some women are in prison  ?

Yes, it is a very big problem within women's prisons.  I don't think its as big of a problem as it is in men's though.

i dont think so. the women's prison in the outskirts of my town doesnt for sure. or at least they dont let on.

According to HM (Her Majestys) Prison Service (England and Wales) -

Drugs: Women tend to have a different type of drug use from men with higher levels of hard drug use.

It would seem that a higher percentage of women prisoners are in prison due to their use of hard drugs in the first place and therefore womens prisons will have a high percentage of addicts and possible drug abuse.
