Are Eggs Okay To Use If They Are A Couple Days Past Their Exp. Date?

I want to make a Cobb salad and was going to boil some eggs. I'm not sure if they are still good. Expired on Aug, 13th.

After the eggs reach home, they may be refrigerated 3 to 5 weeks from the day they are placed in the refrigerator. The "sell-by" date will usually expire during that length of time, but the eggs are perfectly safe to use.

if they smell bad at all i would not eat them. but remember 50 years ago there were no dates on any foods and we mostly survived.

Put them in a bowl of water.  If they lay down they are fresh, if they stand up they are getting old and if they float, throw them away.
