Some are, like Shields, Lawler, Diaz, and most of their women's division.  Other fighters aren't.

And to rebutt Delta on one point, comparing the Neilsen ratings for EXC and UFC is like comparing apples and oranges, just like comparing Basic Cable to PPV.  Look at it this way.  Survivor and other top Network shows, regularly draw over 3 times as many viewers as EXC's first show did.  On the other hand, the WEC is the Versus Network's third biggest draw, behind only the Tour de France and the NHL.  The live UFC cards on SPIKE are routinely some of the biggest ratings on that network.  Cable ratings are ALWAYS lower than network ratings because fewer people have access to cable, which is why they are kept seperately.

Most are not, many are light years away. There are a few fighters of skill though. Robbie Lawler is an awesome fighter, I believe he trains with Matt Hughes though. Several fighters are good but world class is pushing it. Look at the Ufc their top fighters can be considered world class. And alot of former Pride fighters are good too. The Affliction Card was headlined by several  top fighters.

EliteXC is one of those organizations that the fighters who couldn't make it somewhere bigger fight to try and get their name bigger. The mma world is tough and these are mainly the fighters who aren't really 'good' yet who still have a lot of room to grow and aren't that well rounded yet. EliteXC has better fighters than some other organizations like King of the Cage and stuff like that but for the most part this is a breeding ground for hopeful future stars. Unfortunately I don't think Kimbo Slice will be joining those stars.

they got a few good fighters but put a "who would win and why" ? up with EXC-vs-UFC and ill tell you why UFC would win,,, Afliction has one div.....HW...thats it,,,, and almost all of EXCs good fighters got kicked or beat out of UFC for drugs etc..... tell me ONE EXC guy that can beat A.Silva,,,Q.Jackson or B.Vera???   shoot,,,even Liddel or Sanches could take EXCs belts on a whim,,,,not to mention Penn,,StPier or W.Silva!!!

They are minor league.  UFC is the majors.  Affliction is the senior tour.

A lot of them are. Robbie Lawler, Nick Diaz, Jake Shields, Antonio Silva, KJ Noons, and Scott Smith are some of the best fighters in the world. Sadly, Kimbo Slice is billed as the face of the organization.

To answer your question: Yes.

Shields is world class and has showed it [winning a tournament that A. Silva couldn't even make it out of the first round].

Feijao is world class.

To answer Randy's trolling/threadcrap: EliteXC® is c**p? That's interesting. How is it that they are putting better cards than ZUFFA, LLC.? How is that their Nielsen ratings destroy UFC® and WEC®? How is that Unfinished Business was probably better in every imaginable way to something like the last five [5] UFC® ppvs?

Elite XC is c**p compared to UFC, who cares if XC is on cbs, it's still horrible.
