Are Ethernet Multiple Outlet Cords?

Question

I Just got my optimum online installed today and I just realized that my video game ethernet cord has no outlet to be plugged in so what I'm asking is there a way to get like a Dual or Tri Cord that can be plugged in to my modem so I could get back online with my PS3 if so can anybody tell me what it is or do I just need a router

What you need is an ethernet switch. There is 1 input and then usually 4 or 8 outputs available. A router will have the same functionality.

routers have a switch built in

for high speed local area lans  a single item switch may be faster but for internet use a router is just fine

routers are on sale often so it probably your best and easiest bet
