Are Europeans Descended from Middle Eastern people and if so do they still carry Middle Eastern DNA?

  1. Replacement theory argues that Modern Humans originated in Africa and spread out from there, replacing other preexisting hominid populations.

    If you accept that the first place they would have gone is the Middle East, then you answer is yes.

    If as I think, you mean are modern European descended from modern Middle Easterners, I'd say not for most Europeans, although there has been historical population movements and interbreeding amongst those populations so that some some will have Middle Eastern ancestry .

  2. Well there were lots of celtic tribes that came from eastern europe, somewhere around there.......and they spread across europe. Then, roughly, people from the south, like romans, invaded most of europe...I'd say we're a mix.

    We probably do carry some middle eastern dna, but my guess is that our dna changed in the last few millenia....

  4. I seem to remember one of the tribes of the '7 mothers of Europe' did come from this area,but it is not a particularly large clan apparently (under 10 percent). so a few probably do.
