A new book by Dr. Linda Mills an Attorney and Social Worker. Is calling for a new approach to Domestic Abuse. The current Gender paradigm is that Women are Victims and Men are abusers. Mills in her new book outlines the reality. Borne out by Peer Reviewed studies of over 20 Nations. That Violence is often mutual, one in four incidents is Female initiated, one fourth clearly male Initiated.

New strategies to deal with the problem are needed. The current system is perpetuating myths that do not lead to a solution. Read some of the insights and peruse her web site.

Those of us who want to see this problem resolved. Don't care who gets the credit. Let's find a solution.

  1. It's at least worth looking into.  It is very common for western women to take on sarcastic attitudes, to nag and ride their husbands, to insult them and beguile them for days at a time holding them to absurd standards and holding insane expectations, to yell, for days at a time, to play sexual games, to interfere with his work, to undermine his authority over the children, to call him less than a man and anything else she can think of to provoke an angry response, again, dragging this out for days, weeks, months or years at a time, to throw things, break things, scratch, slap, bite and kick, all the while crying like a little baby, and yet oh my, when the man, after days, weeks, months even years of this **** finally snaps, the poor little baby is abused.  Yeah, this is something worth looking into.  I know I'm a big meaniehead.  Give me a thumbs down.

  2. Gender studies also works on male issues. I have visited this refugee for persons who have suffered domestic violence and they receive either women or men.

  3. I don't believe the women are victims, men are abusers view. The problem though, is that where men are the abusers, they are a far greater problem then where women are. It is a much more serious issue is those cases, as men are typically far stronger then the women they are with, and capable of inflicting serious harm.

  4. It is not equal.   Of the 1 in 3 women murdered its by an intimate partner.    It is 85% female victims and 15 % male.

Just remember yesterday we had a "question" telling us women not submitting to their husbands was the cause of abuse.

  5. You will find plenty of phony feminist 'academics' (i.e. propagandists) spouting totally biased statistics on domestic violence, but if you look at any of the unbiased work it points to the 50/50 rate very clearly e.g. this review by a proper professor (of law) http://www.law.fsu.edu/journals/lawrevie...

Feminists will deny the truth about domestic violence until they go hoarse.  Watch out for them trying to get it made a crime to deny their version of reality. After all, if you read the Kelly review I link you will see the extremes that have gone to in order to silence people in the past.

  6. "Are Feminists truly interested in Solving the Domestic violence issue?" - Doesnt seem like that was ever on there agenda without the massive stereotyping. Femminists who are uncapable of moving beyond there narrowminded idea that DV is caused by men, can only go so far in helping solve the DV issues.

"That Violence is often mutual, one in four incidents is Female initiated, one fourth clearly male Initiated. " - Wait till you see femminists here say "its just one, but the majority of DV initiators are men", or deny that "Violence is often mutual".

  7. DV against women is a more serious issue because many of the women being abused is pregnant. So not only is the (usually) physically weaker partner suffering violence, her unborn child is as well.

The only solution is to make sure the abused parnter has an exist strategy. Every person in a relationship should have their own bank account, income and social network/family that will help them if they need to flee.
